Getting Here

For those who believe Oregon is still accessed primarily via the Oregon Trail, we'll merely remind you that we've elevated our thinking. Portland International Airport (PDX) is one of the fastest-growing major airports in the United States.

Air Service
PDX is currently served by 17 regularly scheduled and chartered international and domestic airlines.

Daily Nonstop and "Same Plane" Cities
We offer direct or nonstop service to more than 100 cities worldwide, including New York (Newark, NJ), Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Frankfurt, Guadalajara and Tokyo.

PDX Amenities and Customer Services
PDX is distinguished by its remarkable airport services and amenities and by its efficient design that allows large numbers of people to arrive, deplane and depart without hassle.

Once you commit to flying in, Mother Nature rarely stands in the way. In the past 20 years, there has been only one airport closure that lasted longer than an hour. (We should also mention that downtown is an easy 20 minutes away. Honest.)

Daily international flights connect Portland with service to Japan, Mexico, Canada; expanded domestic connections provide direct service from the East Coast and Midwest. PDX serves more than 12 million passengers each year.

Portland's excellent air service results in very competitive rates and official carrier designation for larger convention groups. PDX is an easy 20-minute drive from the Oregon Convention Center/Memorial Coliseum site and downtown.

PDX AMENITIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICES

Portland International Airport (PDX) is a national leader in airport amenities and customer services. From its award-winning Oregon Market retail and restaurant lobby to its multi-language, interactive video information kiosks, PDX has been a forerunner in developing services to assist travelers.

PDX Oregon Market "Street priced" shops and restaurants
PDX was the first major United States airport to require its retail stores to sell goods at the same prices as they do outside the airport. The "street pricing" requirement now applies to food and beverages as well. PDX's Oregon Market shopping and dining area - mixing local, national and international companies in a Northwest-themed mall - has been copied throughout the United States. There are also shops and restaurants on the airport's five concourses.

Business and conference center
PDX was also the first U.S. airport to create a consolidated business and conference facilities center. The PDX Conference Center provides business services, such as fax machine, copier, computer ports and private work stations, and meeting rooms, complete with catering. There are also service centers on concourses C and D and at the south and north ends of the Oregon Market. The service centers offer a variety of amenities, including change machines, postal services, automatic teller machines, and (on the concourse) telephone workstations with computer ports.

Traveler information
Providing personal information assistance to travelers are the airport's Volunteer Information Persons (located in the terminal) and Pathfinders (baggage claim and ground transportation center).

International visitors
For international visitors, there are interactive video information kiosks providing airport, ground transportation and visitor information in English, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Translation services are provided at the information booths in the ticket lobby and baggage claim. Foreign currency services are available at the Travelex booth in the ticket lobby and near Gate D10.

Travelers needing special assistance
PDX's visual paging system features large-type messages throughout most of the airport. There are also text telephones throughout the airport. Accessible rest rooms are located near the security checkpoint for concourses B and C and Gate D2.
