Media Credentialing
To qualify for reduced media rates and/or complimentary passes, Portland’s hotels and attractions request that travel journalists be credentialed. Those journalists who have worked with Travel Portland before should consider themselves credentialed. Travel Portland maintains records of all media visits.
NOTE: Due to high demand, requests for hotel assistance must be received at least one month prior to your arrival date. During summer months, requests should be received at least two months prior to your scheduled arrival date.
For those visiting Portland for the first time, please submit the following documentation:
Staff Travel Journalists
Travel journalists and editors working as paid staff at magazines, newspapers, websites, travel radio programs and/or travel television programs should submit a business card and a supervisor’s contact information.
Freelance Travel Journalists
Freelance travel journalists on assignment should submit a letter of assignment and their editors’ contact information. Freelance travel journalists without a specific assignment may submit 4-5 travel articles published within the past 12 months in mainstream travel publications and carrying the journalist’s byline. Submitted clips must be bylined and dated.
Photographers
Follow above guidelines for staff or freelance journalists.
Documentation and/or questions should be sent to:
