Entering its second century, the Portland Rose Festival— named the Best Festival in the World in 2007 by the International Festivals & Events Association — is "Romancing the Rose" in 2008 with events and programs that will delight and inspire visitors and native Oregonians alike.
The Rose Festival's signature event, the KeyBank Grand Floral Parade, will wow hundreds of thousands of spectators on Portland's streets with larger-than-life, all-floral floats, high-stepping marching bands and impressive equestrian units. The best way to guarantee a prime seating location for the grandest parade on the Rose Festival calendar is to purchase tickets for reserved seats inside or outside the Memorial Coliseum. Every parade entry passes through the Coliseum (with ticket holders enjoying climate-controlled comfort) before hitting the streets for the rest of the four mile route.
